2004 15" 280

This is a 2004 Mercury 280 with a 15" mid section, consumer box, 85 original hours. It has never been apart. This is in mint condition, no scratches and no issues! $13,500. 931-215-7949, Steven.

Would a 280 15" all factory not have come with ROS box? Is it a numbers matching motor? Sounds exceptional.

Im not pissin in the cheerios but it should have come with the box that comes on the off shore motas plus there is more to the DDT history that would be from a consumer box thats showing 34 hours i aint saying it aint cherry and all that they are some good answers needed for a 14000 motor

A friend of mine bought a new '05 venom with a '05 15" 280 and it had the consumer box

Texas not sure how you get 34 hrs. It has 85 hrs. and a consumer box. It is what I advertised. Don't be hating on it, it's a nice piece.

I have a 20" offshore sport 280 with a consumer box that is all original. Basically a consumer powerhead on an offshore housing and no pin on the cowling. Didn't know they did the same for the 15" stuff but I guess they did.

I once had a complete, matching 2005 15" 280 with 27 hrs that had a consumer box on it. Mercury does odd things sometimes

Yes sir you could buy the 15in offshore motor from mercury with either a race offshore box with zero warrenty or you could order the same motor with a consumer ecm with 7750 limiter on it with a one yr warrenty same motor minus 500 rpm in box. bought several of them that way. Dave

No I do not think that would be possible if the motor was built by mercury in 2005 I highly dought it left the plant with a 2001 ecm on it that would be highly unlikely but anything is possible I guess

I purchased a new 280 ss in 01' and got the consumer box so it would have the 1 year warranty also.
