    Land and Sea mechanical fuel injection

    Anyone have any info on the land and sea fuel injection system made back in the '80s
    pros and cons? OMC V6 setup ?

    No info on that one, but as a general rule, Land and Sea parts rarely performed as advertised. The more complex the part, the wider the gap between reality and the Land and Sea catalog...

    why stay in the 1980,s
    when you can have a system from the 1893
    http://www.disa.it/pdf/01HystoryOfDieselFuelInj.pdf
    coal dust all the way more then enough coal to keep that outboard running for the next 200 years!

    There is no intention of ever using it , on the shelf it will stay with other obsolete stuff !!!
    Lots of career opportunity for comedians out there on the Vegas strip or Screamandfly.

    Just a basic constant flow system like Kinsler, Hilborn, etc. Pro is if you want to run alcohol or fuel. Also a very simple system. Con is the mixture control is not high precision compared to a well designed EFI or carburetor setup. Which doesn't matter so much with Methanol.

    Agreed. You can make mechanical injection work well on a two stroke. It can be difficult getting the barrel valve cut right, and also the bypass valves pressures set. They were great before EFI became as consumer useable as it is.

    Hello, I was scurrying around and found this reply of yours to a fellow who looking for a fuel injection unit. just checking to see if that old unit is collecting dust or rust on a shelf somewhere in junk parts land.
