how to modify a evinrude 48 spl
i recently bought a 48 spl and its a high compression block but the guy detuned it because he said it was to fast for his kids to use it. i was wondering what kind of mods i could do to it make make it run faster again.

Only a few things he could of done to the motor to detune it, you say the compression is up there so then there's the carbs, check the size of the carbs, he could of put 40 HP carbs but if I would of detuned it, I would of adjusted the carbs so they wouldn't opened up all the way, cheap fix and easy to do.
