2.5L Block Weld

Any idea what this might cost to have welded up?

Getting mine done on two cly for $100.
Although he wanted the sleeve out to do it. That was extra $
No problem as I wanted them pulled so I can port the block any way.

Torque a head down down on that side . Have the guy weld it from the bottom side only unless it's spider cracked out from the hole . put a little pre heat in it and use 4043 filler rod . Even done quickly , it's more than likely going to pull that cylinder out of round at the bottom .
If you have a cylinder jack , be sure to put it in at the bottom. goes a long way in keeping it round .
Use a set of bottom pressure stones to touch that cyl up and you should be good to go ... as long as the other side where the bomb went off looks good ...

Have seen those ground out to make sure there are no cracks running out from the hole and Kop Kote used to fill. The stuff is unreal and if you scuff up the area around the repair it will stay forever. I think you could build a block out of it! Chaz describes the best way to do it with weld. I use a round copper plate in the bottom of the cylinder and weld from back side. Betting that cylinder and one/two adjacent might already be moved a little.

here's the inside. Longshot . . . do you still think I can get away with using epoxy? I think I'll give it a try.
