Don't expect any big numbers out of Steve's 318/400Rs.........I've already discussed this rig with Pete. It's a standard pleasure layup with full standard interior (4 passenger rear seat, side panels, center console, etc.) - the complete setup will probably weigh close to 5,000 #s ready for the water. Pete figures it will run teens - and I agree with him.

Thanks for the insider info ....
    Maybe it's just me ....
Unless you are hired as a consultant or have a warrant , the "only" answer should be .. Go ask Steve ...

While we're on the subject ..

Would you buy a "new" boat that the first thing they did after pulling it out of the mold was "cut it in half" long ways so they could "section in" a strip to make it a wide body ...
Then have to "add" height to the gunnels so they could they could lay a flat sheet of trim to fit "one size fits all" glass on it to make it a flat deck .
I'm no glass man , but I would think those are measures you take in order to build a mold .... not a finished product .

So boat can be driven from either side or a two man team in a poker run. It has two helm locations also. All you have to do is move the wheel.

6966rpm is a bit too close to the rev limit for my liking. Sounds like they need bigger props

They won't have a narrow peak like a traditional outboard (due the hair dryer that's attached and mild cam) I think that you can twist them all the way for prop speed and the numbers stay respectable. I have had a few supercharged motors (2 bikes, 3 cars, and a turbo sled) and they all pulled right to the limiters with no sign of power loss.

When it's that close to the limiter it is hard to tell if its on it or not. I know every boat I've had went faster if it was not on rev limit even if you only needed 3/4 throttle.

Camshaft choice will play a big role here as well right?
