Also not debating, but in the real world my 98 200 efi with a 824003 A-17 runs out to at least 6800 every time it hits the water. I know it has never been re flashed. Also have some 824003 A-8 and 824003 A-11 that turn well north of 6500. If there's a limiter it must be so soft you can't feel it. This has always puzzled me about the limiters.

exceptions are always there my first 225 promax had a A6 on it it twisted 7000 allways it even had 2.4 embossed on the front cover ive had a ton of A17's all from 225 promaxs and there limiter was 6750 so 6800 was allways possible especially for a light rig but not unlimited lol ive got around half dozen A8 now most go on fishing boats some have twisted 6000/6200 but not many most on light rigs like laser but not unlimited, the most of the problem is in the electrics that these things come with a 40 amp system if dropped to 16 amp with light wheel the will spin more with out a doubt but not unlimited

Ok let me go back by saying unlimited ..my bad for sure but i was meaning i havent had one ever hit a limiter to my knowledge spinning them 7500 7800 or so...so yes my bad for saying unlimited..now on the newer style cdm motor oh yeah they hit hard at 5800 ish.im my book there should never be a limiter on anything lol
