Fuel sending unit length 24 skater?

Does anyone know the length of the fuel sender ? Don't want to pull out until I get new one ? And what else besides bad ground or broken wire bad sender ,bad gauge, could cause gauge not to work ??

If gauge has power, jump the guage's sender post to ground. Should peg at full. If not, bad gauge. Sender test, use known good gauge and hook up sender with some fuel in tank. Sender good it will read.....Tank depth I don't know.....

Having twins you can also do a quick swap with sender wires at the dash and that should give you an idea what is going on.
