My New Drag Boat
I love outboards, but when it comes to a drag boat, they just don't cut it for me. For less than $25k, I have a hydro that has run a 3.92 660', 5.37 1,000' @ 168.77. When running the full 1/4, it was always run as a bracket 7.0, but would certainly run mid 6s at 170+. Not an outboard that ever has, or ever will run those #s. And this conservative motor setup will run 100 passes before rebuilds.......... I know a lot of you guys on here hate these carmotor boats, but I like both outboards and inboards!

Less than 25K? WOW! It would be hard to build the motor for that. In fact i don`t think you could. Not a mid six/170mhp motor anyhow. Great deal you stole it.

Sweet boat. We used to go High Point NC until they stopped running there. That class used to be called Blown Gas Hydro and then they changed the name of the class and now I am not sure what it is. I guess you primarily run brackets now. Anyhow good luck with the boat. good lookin and quick.
