I did the jasper run and really enjoyed it so thinking about coming down for this. Is the Days Inn the only place to stay in that area? Is the run Friday, Saturday or both?

Yes that river run was nice we went as far as we could on the amount of fuel we had, and it was awesome...
Reminded me of the suwannee minus the cypress trees and the springs...

The gables is on the river and awsome spot but rooms aren't nice if ur bringn ur old lady I would stay at days inn but my friends are too rowdy to bring to a nice establishment

Not sure about fri run south forgot exact miles mayb 15 to jacks sandbar and sat north is 35 miles I think so about 70 there and back ...

The gulf is about 30 miles and thats what we do on Friday with a stop at jacks sandbar. The Split is about 35 miles north and thats the saturday run. Ive logged 200 miles during the weekend though. Your looking at about 150 miles just doing the two runs and add in some screwing around.

Local hotels are as follows with the Days Inn in Chiefland with lots of boat parking and right next to BBQ Bills for breakfast . Best Western also in Chiefland just south of Holiday Inn . Then the Cadillac an old school mom and pop place with good parking just south of the bridge . Then the Park Inn right across from the Cadillac , another smaller mom and pop motel , then the Suwanee Gables just over the bridge across the river on the right on the water with a boat ramp .

Think were stayin at the scables I'm bringin bug spray my own sheets and flip flops to wear in the shower like I was in jail again .... but I can't wait !!!!

we are debating the gables or days inn might just do the gables... ive stayed in worse places lol way worse

Need to make a scedual for shower times at the gables water pressure is non existint i cut a hole in the screen and run a hose in for the shower and toilet last year in the morn when everbody was showering at same time besides that its not to bad nice to have the ramp rite there to

Are there gas stops along the way where you can buy gas? If so how far from one to the next?

Come on Shawn!!gotta make this one!!! Missed you in jasper, Friday ride is about 20 miles round trip, Saturday ride is about 60-70 miles ,but there are ramps all up and down the river to cut down mileage!!
