1989 Yamaha 225 Runs great
Edit 22 AUG 2015: New information has come to light. For sale is my 1990 Enduro Series Yamaha 225. It bolted on my 89 Starliner. Starts right up and runs great...I'm looking to upgrade to new, more fuel efficient AND FASTER motor. Good compression all the way around. Runs strong. Fresh water boat that only sees the water about 4 months out of the year. I'm over checkmate forums too.
PM me or txt 701-four four six-6277
Update 22 AUG 2015: Want to get $3K which is $1K less than I was originally asking. It will come with controls, oil tank, steering (not hydraulic).
This is a 2.6L engine.Last edited by Sam I am; 08-24-2015 at 10:04 PM.

Like I said...NADA is absurdly low...I'd love to get $4k? But having said that, I have it listed for that on BBC and Checkmate and I haven't gotten a reply. Also, like I said, I don't know what it's true market value is...it's a rock solid 225...a new 225 is A LOT of money. So...even if it's old, it's still in great running condition and NADA won't cut it. So if that's what it's really worth, I'll keep it.

Sorry for the lack of attention to my own thread. The boat was put into storage a couple weeks ago. Motor no longer for sale.

Hi guys...back again. Looking to go with a more fuel efficient motor to pull my kids tubing. This motor is a great, but it's way to thirsty for pulling a 7 and 10 year old all day long. I don't have enough gas cans to get through a weekend. Having said that, it's strong and fast. Make and offer...

Motor is identical to this motor... http://smalloutboards.com/y22589.htm except not in as good of shape cosmetically.
