For ALL SOB and Others joining this Sunday Long Island to Ct River morning Crossing here is an UPDATE:

    NEWS FLASH.....

Due to some SOB's with concerns over last years 'excessive' wave conditions crossing from Orient PT we may make a change and leave from Mattituck Inlet harbor. I am watching the conditions closely but will post the leaving location closer to Take-off, possibly Saturday evening. More will be know of actual water conditions then. We can help avoid excess wave conditions (3'-5' or more) if we avoid the Eastern End Ocean pass and travel across closer to central LI sound ( 1'-2' most likely) over.

Those wanting the 'Roughest' conditions can simply ignore this post and head straight to Greenport ramps Sunday Morning !

    Over and Out for now....

Weather predictions upgraded. Now models are saying partly sunny instead of all clouds, and "0" chance of rain. Was 20% then 10% now 0 according to the model I studied at length last night and the again once this morning. There were a couple of other models that were saying the "r" word .... So I got rid of them. This is the model I use for my weather info.

Almost ....but if we travel 2x's as fast in more comfortable seas it will still take the same time. We still have to see what conditions will actually be closer to take off before deciding. fast boats cover ground fast which usually makes runs to short for many.

But more comfortable Seat time mean more fun for most....especially for the partially injured that maybe coming.
