Lightbulb Pertronix for a Mark 75

Yep, just like the title states. I want to put an electronic ignition in my 1957 mercury mark 75. Refreshing memorys or for those who don't know what these motors are. The mark 75 is the original straight 6 tower of power. Dockbuster if you will. I can't get a straight answer out of Pertronix. The mark 75 is a dual points, dual coil system with a bi-level rotor and distributor. The points operate off of a 3 lobe cam where 2 sets of points, mounted 180 degrees from each other, operate opposingly. Each point fires 1 coil for 3 cylinders. I have found that the marelli distributor used in some vintage porsche's operates in the same manor. The pertronics ignitor in question is the MR-162. http://pertronix.shptron.com/p/ignitor-6-cylinder The only problem I suspect would be how to attach the magnet ring to the mercury distributor shaft as the 3 lobes are part of the shaft itself. Epoxy? I like the idea of eliminating these points because they are a bear to set correctly and are getting scarce as hens teeth. Also the pertronix system is quite stealth and no one would know that it's in there. Has anyone tried to do this to one of these old jems? Any thoughts or input?

There is a vintage division of the American Power Boat Association you can find at www.apba.org . I know a few people who fool with old engines. One actually post here some under Ol' Gator I believe.
