They are very used to people, the strip of forested area is only 1/2-3/4 miles wide and has a cross street every 1/4 mile, when the coyotes are around the deer seek people out to scare them off

Do y'all have a problem with poachers? Those are some very nice racks on on those bucks.
You should see the deer population in the Texas Hill Country. IIRC, there are more deer per acre than anywhere else. Deer are everywhere and are a problem in some neighborhoods.
Here's a vid at Canyon Lake in the Texas Hill Country. This isn't a park it's a lake side community with a few thousand residents.
