Any see the new PBS.."Stones and Muddy Waters? DAMN, I KNEW MUDDY! And
been .."The Checkerboard" south side "blues", with Rosie Kilbone..(sp)
IN THE 70's, and the only two white people there! And Rosie knew
EVERYBODY, anywhere..and not "welcome there?..HA! "come on in!" Decade
later, the Stones showed up, and they all "jammed"

On November 22, 1981, in the middle of their mammoth American tour,
the Rolling Stones arrived in Chicago prior to playing 3 nights at the
Rosemont Horizon. Long influenced by the Chicago blues, the band paid
a visit to Buddy Guy's club the Checkerboard Lounge to see the
legendary bluesman perform. It didn't take long before Mick Jagger,
Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Ian Stewart were joining in on stage
and later Buddy Guy and Lefty Dizz also played their part. It was a
unique occasion that was fortunately captured on camera.

Say them at Mad. Sq. Garden in 76, 8th row center! Was a bit INXS at that concert, LOLs, man did I party back in those days! Somehow managed to keep my head thru the whole show, amazing experience! Saw lots of the great bands, most were excellent seats, got lucky with tickets!
Imagine the kids today, they only have wantta-be rockers, rappers and Beavers to go se!

Don't think ever saw a bad concert in the 70's. The craziest was in Germany in 71. 4 bands, general admission (mad house when the doors opened!), Deep Purple played last. People simple passing around smoke, pills, wine. No, I don't remember much either!

Ya got me thinking the "Deep" today. Another one those "days"..as I get up at noon, (gotta love retired/retarded".. wake up at 2pm did a run to town came back and the gear heads pulled same me..new "slot car drag racers". (put it this way), spent 10 minutes crushing cans, recycle, and give the cans a old friend here who turns the cans in for cash, and donates it to his grand daughters "Girl Scout kids" .
Anyway...the first post/vid, is one I'm SURE, not done the many posts here.

And to Greg, THANKS for making this thread a "stickey", and ya all have a HEALTHY new year....as "money with out health, is useless...)
