Heres some pics down the road from my dads place on the Suwannee. His place is across the river from the Sprit of the Suwannee camp ground.Drove down Friday afternoon to get a look. His place is completly under water.
My dad and my brother inlaw lost both of their trucks in a flash flood heading down 441 to move their campers.Water was 3" deep and with in minutes 2 walls of water came 2 1/2-3' high each washed my brother in-laws truck off the road. The truck was 7' under.Where Im standing on the road taking the pic the water was covering the stop sign and to the botton of the yellow sign.

Damn Chris !! I read about the Flash Flood deal on the SWMD website ...that is horrible glad they made it out of the trucks !
The Suwannee at White Springs crested Wednesday with an unofficial stage of 85.23, the third highest flood at White Springs exceeded only by 1973 (88.56) and 1984 (85.36). Record-keeping at this gage started in 1906. The 32' rise in two days appears to be the fastest by far in the record, beating a 20' rise in 2 days in 1996. Early morning on the 26th the river was rising 2.4 feet per hour. White Springs should fall below flood stage late next week.Last edited by Tom Foley; 07-02-2012 at 04:32 AM.

Thanks everyone. We will probably just stay local and ride some on the St Johns on the 4th if it not too rough. We'll probably hit a restaurant [Whiteys] for lunch.
Marc,
let me know if ya'll want to meet us.

Whitey's is a really good restaurant in the very Southeast corner of Doctors Inlet. You have to travel about a 1/2 mile down a no-wake zone to get there. We'll probably be there for lunch at 1:30 and everyone is welcome. It will just be Susan and I there in the boat.

Wilcox went above action stage which was 9' now at 11' as of today according to the Gainesville Sun.
51 miles of no-wake zone is now in affect from Rock Bluff to Fowlers Bluff. I know the 4th came and went, just thought you would like to know JR IN JAX. Later, Vic
