4k was propbably good...the motor alone is worth about that....i dont mean to ad to the nagging but be carefull with that thing....make sure ya have solid motor mounts, a good life jacket (life line makes great jackets) low water pick up, kill switch and a foot throttle...as far as the cleaver question...a cleaver will create sturn lift instead of bow lift...most true tunnels in that size range trap enough air to create there own bow lift so running a bow lifting prop (chopper) can cause the bow to get really flighty really fast...on the other hand a cleaver will promote a flatter flying attitude and make it a little safer...good luck...sure is a cool looking boat....take your time and keep it right side up

never thought of the kill switch where can i get one of them? solid motor mounts are you talking about the rear of the boat where the jackplate mounts to?

the top motor mount you have to pull the powerhead and look down in the mid to see..the bottom's are just above the lower on each side...from the factory they are a hard rubber and alow movement causing ill handling...solid mounts are the only way to fly

Nice boat, very rare. Be careful, it will blowover at speed with too much trim, gust of wind etc. My father owned 2 of them. 1st one he owned had a 200, took it out for the first time, windy day, never drove a tunnel and bingo, boat made almost a full 360 through the air and ripped a sponson off. Luckily he was OK (held on for the whole ride!). Fixed that one and used it with no problems after that. Bought a 2nd one, super lightweight with a Formula-1 Merc and that thing was a rocket. Good luck & be safe.
