Thanks Phil,
Business remains brisk for JSRE in Europe as well as the far and middle east as well as Austrailia and New Zealand, we send lots of parts, JSRE tools and a few power heads as well as complete engines across the "BIG" pond..Most of the time our foreign customers make a move on big ticket items when the dollar exchange is favorable ...
I also attribute the business we enjoy from the foreign market from word of mouth as well as several of the top boat forums I frequent...
Thanks again,
Jay

I have never had an engine built by Jay, but I will have to say this. Last year I had a problem with my promax. When the motor got up to normal operating temperature it would drop one bank of cylinders and I would have to limp back to the landing. After about two weeks of pulling my hair out I posted a topic on this forum asking for help with this problem. Jay Smith answered my request for help and gave me his phone number. After speaking to him on the phone for a few minutes, he solved my problem and saved me a ton of money. He could have had me send the powerhead to him, but he let me pick his brain and gave me the solution I was looking for. He is a great guy, down to earth and is not afraid to share his wealth of knowledge. For $75, I fixed the problem myself.

Jay, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge on here. Clemens builds my motors, and I know what you mean about staying covered up with 2.5s ......... he always is, too.
If I may ask, what do you recommend to your customers as standard break-in procedure on a newly built 260? I'm in the process right now, and curious what different engine builders recommend. My biggest question is ..... how do you know when you're "done"?
Thanks again.
