Went there last year wth Ole Gator and my CT15 Carlson. Only about 3-4 outboards and 30+ inboards. Cost a lot to join and run with no follow up or info from them as promised. Save your money and go to the "Mt Dora" meet the next weekend.

Hi, I'm Tom Lang the Pit Guy that is in charge of getting all the trailered boats in and out of the water in a timely manner for each of the heats that we have. If you haven't been before (or it has been awhile) I think you will find this event organized and well run.
CRA event: http://www.classicraceboatassoc.com/...rofevents.html
As far as the antique boat show that is one week later in Tavares, that show will showcase race boats this year. Keep in mind that the CRA event is for active participation while the antique boat show is more or less a static-in-the-water show.
Hope to see you all there.

FYI, any of you that do not own boats can get a ride with someone who is willing to give you a ride PROVIDED you are a member (due to insurance reasons) of CRA, $20 one event, $25 whole year. In other words, you MUST be a CRA member to be on the racecourse itself. **This is just a friendly reminder -- furthermore you can become a member at anytime during the event**.
Hint #1: Hot Pit Passes are ten bucks. For just $10 more you can become a one event member that also has access to the pits and be allowed on the racecourse.
Hint #2: If you think the person that can give you a ride may also let you drive, then you must attend the Drivers Meeting first thing Saturday morning if you are driving on Sat. or Sun. as drivers meeting is only held Sat. morning.Last edited by rustnrot; 02-17-2011 at 08:54 AM.
