Don't worry Larry, this was put out on Scream and Fly a long time ago. Rich has probably seen it 100...ok...a million times. See how good he runs when he's not sleeping at the light? I think Nick's going to give him a radio for Christmas so he can wake him up just before he enters the starting chute.

    Here ya go:

    1. Ballistic Shorts - the cheapest I have found ($81) is at Deist.com - http://deist.com/ballistic-under-shorts-p-68.html
    2. Helmet Restraint - the cheapest I have found ($75) is the 6-4 Restraint at SRP - http://securityrace.com/driverequipm...estraints.html
    3. Snell approved helmet
    4. Long sleeves and long pants - doesn't have to be a racing suit, but you must have long sleeves and long pants to race in.
    5. Kill switch that also kills the fuel pump.

Some other things to keep in mind:
    1. You're not allowed to beat the E-Tecs more than one race in a row.
    2. If you're racing Rich Latter, yell "FIRE" just before the light goes green. I think that's the only thing that wakes him up.
    3. No arguing with the officials. Especially me....oh, and I prefer Bud Light after the races....
    4. If you bring Loser out to the races, he has to stand on the south side of the island. I can't watch the races with that amount of ugly in front of me.
    5. Come out, have a good time, and don't take it TOO seriously. Everybody watching is drunk so they don't remember who wins anyway.

    4. Ballistic Shorts
    5. Balls Steel

You must always wear long sleeve shirt and pants while racing.

Finally someone gets it.....Most people read these threads and think its a drama fest, but its really a fun unique place to be and race. Only place in the country that has 16 strait weeks of racing! I love it....

Just curious, Bob Nordskog designed a helmet to prevent sometimes fatal bucketing if you got went in feet first, it wasn't approved. Has anyone come with one since?

Jason, looking forward to seeing you at the island. Enjoyed watching you run at Three Lakes and at Kosh this year. Your boat runs very well. And yes, it is in good fun, unfortunately some people like to bash, were only trying to move the sport forward.
