Yeah, it's a big one...remnant of the '80s hair bands. A friend of mine that used to be a premier endorsor gave me a 10x14 that he had them custom make so I usually play that one when I want something big. I don't think I've had the ludwig on a stand since '95 or so. Think it's time to thin the collection and maybe get it to someone that'll use it. OMCD...I'll be happy to get some pictures. If I run across anything else I want to get rid of I'll let ya'll know.

Sounds good. I definatly want the Quick beats, they have great reviews and all my HH cymbals are lower end B8pro, ZBT and ZXT, all my other cymbals are custom A, AAX, and AA, so those will complete my set with all high end cymbals.

HHs are perfect, dont like shiney new cymbals and they say that cymbals get better with age. Read an article on people burying them in the back yard after smeared them with butter and spraying them with windex, salt water and then peeing on them often. Dig them up a year or so later, clean and you get a much better darker sound.....apparetly. Shoot me a price on that Ludwig, would love to have it as my main snare, it also matches my kit, only thing is that I play double bass but it shouldnt get in the way, dont really need it but I will never see another one. On my first ever drum kit back in the mid 80s I had the New beats and remember they were great, I did the same thing back then as I bought another kit that had no wraps, just wood painted white but it had those New beats, a good Paste and a Sabian HH signature which to tis day was the best cymbal I ever had, took the hard ware and cymbals and sold that white kit.

Drum triggers??
I see a lot of triggers for sale especially the red ones. What do thet do? are they some sort of mic system or do they change the sound with a module? Thanks.

I'm a big fan of the good ole zildjians....new beats, quick beats, and rock hats. They all sound good and fit different musical styles well and are very durable. I've had several pairs of sabian hats and all sounded good, but also cracked in short order. If I were you I'd go to a good drum shop....most will have a lot of hats out for you to try. Try them all and buy what sounds best to your ear, just might want to do a search to see how durable they are before you buy.

I have not checked this thread in a while.
We've got a good selection of used cymbals right now, as well as some nice sets.
I'll keep an eye out for a nice, heavy Z custom ride...

I dont like the cheap Zildjians but I do like the B8 Pro Sabians which are cheap. Mastersound Z are supposed to be good. HHs and rides are the hardest cymbals to be happy with, like Jason said try before you buy.
