it lives again
After a dissapointing first rebuild. I now have six new wiseco pistons and rings (complments of wiseco). Started an hose for first time tonite sounds very good and strong. Now it s time for a very long slow break in process. Hopefully this time has better results.

Needs to be broke in for 10 hours. I didn't wait long enough the first time and cold seized my motor. So second time around gonna follow wiseco's directions and hope for better results.

apparently several heat up-cool down cycles are called for as well as just easy running during breakin, good luck, chris

Heat soak it a few times, 5 for sure. Get it up to 145deg and let it cool down, at least 8 hrs between each start up. This has been a good way for me. Then run it on the water and DON'T push it for the first few runs it will all be good.
If you push it right away can almost guarantee a cold sieze issue.
You have been told.

Well I'm almost there I've gotten about 4 hours of idles time on it in three differnt rounds of running. Check the heads bolts for proper tourge. A couple more rounds left to go. First rebuild only made it 6 hours. Hope for many more this round.

*they, the wiseco pistons, need more clearance then most every other forged Pistons out there!
A lot of the other forged units are made to where they don't need Soo much clearance between the cylinder and the piston..
