Pete thanks for the picture. Mike thanks for reminding me that the 26 is a different cut than a 27 i forgot that that explains why it was handling so differently. Nick you are right just a touch too much trim... I wanted a decent picture. We will have to wait till spring I guess. Anyone up for snowmobiling when the snow flies? How about a winter Romp? I think my sled will do 81!!

I am pretty sure the 27 trophy is just like the smaller pitch ones however the 28 is different. That is why it is so much harder to turn than a 27p. I read it somewhere and DUH confirmed it. I had a 27 that ran great but threw a blade. The stock 28 was much harder to turn. JMO

Now that number is definately off. Thanks . I saw you gassing up but didn't see you on the lake. My guess is the less than spectacular weather kept most of the regulars from showing up on Sunday. We had fun anyway. My guess is Mikey will have something up his sleeve.

I will happily show my cards....
-Tie bars are being made for the transom
-Moving the motor closer to the transom to try and keep the bow down a little bit
- Fixing stress cracks in motor well
-Slight possability of nose coning my lower unit to avoid blowout in near future
Boat could go slower for all I know, Guess we will find out!

I know the cone will scrub some speed, but blowout is around 84 mph and I am going to be right there!!! Plus I am going to need the motor height. Thank you for the compliments! Your challenger is much cooler then my boat though!!!
Also I would like to state that I fully admit the 225HO etec is a stronger running motor then my 3.0L I wish I had those gears and that rev limiter!!!

Well
What you lose from the nose cone you will make up when you jack the motor and get the revs up. Higher revs means a bigger prop and more speed. Thats why Im going back to a coned lower. You dont have to be going over 80 to benefit. This has been my experience thats why this is in my garage. Just finished touching up the paint, need to fill it with fluid and replace my torque master. Than Jack the motor up and get that 28 DUH trophy to turn 6400 rpms. At 10% slip Im hopeing to be close to 85-86. Conn River Run comming up and Im gonna be ready for you guys

Hey
Mike every boat is different and every hull is different within the same make. You got to go by what works for YOUR boat. The only way to figure that out is trial and error oh yeah and a GPS
