How to remove rust from exhaust manifolds
I have a 350 with water cooled exhaust manifolds. They're rusty on the inside, and okay on the outside. Any good ways to attack this?
I was going to try:

Metal prep which you can get from an auto paint store should clean them up. It's phosphoric (?sp) acid and is magic for cleaning steel to get paint to stick. It removes the scale from hot rolled steel!

I don't know anything about big heavy motors and their manifolds so don't take my advice...but if you want to get rust off of something and you are smart enough to be able to tell if there is enough of it left after you get the rust off, then try metal prep.
There does that cover my stern???
