    GPS antenna....where can i mount it???

    can i mount my antenna under the dash or somewhere else that its hidden? or dose it have to be on the topside of the deck of my boat...id prefer to have it hidden if possible....any ideas?...thanks

    hidden gps

    I'm running all of my gps antenna under the deck. All seem to work fine.
    Wriggleys gum makes me think of boating, "Double your engines, Double your fun"

    As long as the deck isn't conductive (carbon or metal) it shouldn't attenuate the signal any significant amount.

    Gps

    On the Gambler that I used to have I had it on the floor way under the consold and with the Allison I have now it is under the dash with the gauges. Both worked as good as if the were in the wide open.

    Just make sure the top of the antenna points up, have seen many of them be intermittent, beause there are mounted up side down or stuck on a side panel. 360 degree with out obstruction is ideal for satelite reception.

    hey nick where exactly did you mount yours?....i was thinking about just sloopy-coning it to the underside of the dash will this work?...thanks

    I used an ''L'' bracket[like a plant hanger]under the deck on the bulkhead in front of the foot throttle!
    why ask me ?
