    converting carb to efi

    im converting my 97 150 mariner mag 3 to efi bought an efi system complete bolt on and plan on putting it on this week but i was told that the stator or flywheel on a carb motor is different from one on an efi motor is this true because i dont want to get all the efi stuff put on and the motor not run hahaha

    Those parts ain't got nothin' ta do with tha fuel delivery

    Yea I know they don't have anything to do with the fuel delivery but they have to do with the ignition and I was told they were different from a carb motors but I donno that's why I posted this lol

    Nothin' ta do with either carb or efi. It don't mater..............

    Ign don't care how tha fuel gets there..........Tha only thing I can think of that THEY might be thinkin' of is tha efi motor harness is a little different that tha carb harness.

    YeA but I have the new wiring harness and everything For the efi so I should be ok then how hard is it to exchange everything out with the wiring harness and stuff

    No to hard if ya just pay close attention ta tha ones that come off and tha ones that go on (tha colors mostly). Tha efi will have a replacement of 1,3,5 coil and switch box wires. Don't have a scanner but a dia. would really help ya. Might do search and find one on here.........................

    ok ill do a search for 2.5 efi wiring diagram and see what i can find thanks for all the info man i really appreciate it.

    JAN. There's some pretty good motor guys there in your town (Shev. and Bossier). They pretty much hang out over on BYB. Bein' from La. don't make ya'll all bad.......

    yea a friend of mine walt and another friend of mine brent hang both build racing motors and stuff and brent is always to busy with work and stuff and is hard to get ahold of and walt knows his **** but hes hard to get to help he is always MIA hahaha
