I remember SOOOOOOWELLLll...back in Illinois, my old Ski club. Back in the 70's. we would rent out two farm tractor pulled wagons, some farmer, who would drag ya over his 80 acres, crop season over, a barrel of beer, 3 cases of wine, 20 people a side, the "Hay stuffed wagon's".

We would get dragged for hours, signing songs, over the snow covered farm fields, sooner or later, the other "wagon", would try to pass..(all planned), and of course, we had the usual "stops".."water a bush"..get "snowballs ready"..and when passed up..."SNOWBALL FIGHT!"

Then get back, and a big bonfire, was waiting, for us.

DAMN..I wish we had a vid of that! Best times of my life, those young, (now old..most still ski).. kids, and still in touch with all. Just search.."Downhill Derelicts Ski club"..used to be somewhere 60, now in the hundreds, and I was one of the "Alumni"..that started it...DAMN..we had fun

I remember coming back from Nam, 1969, then a tour of Germany, out the service 1970.."Bell Bottoms"..that "choker Bead necklace"..the Dudes/Dudettes..said .."what the hell is that stuff?". And they were soon .."overcome".."too the ..."who cares. FUN side..insanity!"

Grabbed off Bushwacker....Oh yeah, 49 seconds in, is 'Veterans Park"..the "wheel chair thing..heading down hill"..been there on the bikes..think somewhere south Sturgis, S.D..the biker Rally.. I remember seeing the pull off,..stopped, and saw the sign...had to laugh, as its an INSANE DOWNHILL..HARD TO WALK IT!.

But, some politician got "pork fer it"...and it was dead silent there..people..just me....
