Can you imagine taking one of these across the face at 70mph?

The DNR did a test poison up here....for two months there was dead carp eveywhere. Very effective, of course they called it something else.

We've put up with them all last summer on the Illinois river. Army corp put a electric cable across one of the locks to try to keep them from getting into lake Michigan. The barge companies made a killing, charged $ 500.00 a tow for pleasure craft. Boats had to shut everything off and unhook the batts, as not to short the electronics. Some boats still got messed up.

we had an issue in the summer of 08 with dead carp, on lake simcoe ,couchiching, sparrow and parts of the trent seven waterway with no explanation. the shorelines were littered with stink, you could collect them, bag em and the townships were picking them up roadside. It was a pretty bad situation for anyone trying to sell property . fotunately no problem this year.

Chris Brackett attends to his fiancé and assesses the damage. Barnes is rushed off the water to the doctor, where she learns her jaw is broken. It will need to be wired shut for six weeks. Meanwhile, the rest of the crew returns to the water.

Asian Carp, Sanakeheads, Kudzu, German Carp, Salvinia, etc. etc.... Does anyone need any more reasons why indigenous species are destructive... The Salvinia down here has been devastating to Our lakes and a couple of the top Bass fisheries in the world... It grows and overcomes a peaceful habitat like a horror movie.... NEVER IMPORT ANYTHING..!!!!!!!!!!

You mean non-indigenous don’t you? Several noxious weeds have been imported as well. Some on purpose, some by accident, like the fire or red ant. As humans, we will inherently screw things up. How about the cane toads in Australia? I think it was in Hawaii that they brought in a non-indigenous animal as a predator for an pest animal, and one was nocturnal and the other diurnal.
The river I boat on, late in the afternoons I have seen 4’ gar and large spoonbill catfish jump as high as a few feet out of the water. I have been splashed by them as they entered the water in front of my boat. I wasn’t going fast… good thing I guess.
