Not to much time to run it yet, so far it will run 68 every day I go out still with the 24 trophy. Unfortunetly I am always out with a cooler, another person and all the other bs that comes along for the ride on sundays. I definately need to get teh time to dial it in and prop it out

mikeylarge, when you get the time, you should consider trying a 26 chopper. Thanks for the update.

Mike,
I just tried a 26 big ear chopper and my boat actually went slower I lost 5-6 mph. The diameter on it is like 14.5, it's big. The diameter on the trophy is 13.25 I think, it's a lot easier to spin.
Ed
I have the exact same set up as Mike plus some weight.Boats love hundred dollar bills.

I lost about 300-400 rpm. I have a hydro jack, so I raised it up an inch, then the RPM's started to rise, no extra speed. I went up another inch then it was spining close to 5,700 and no extra speed, so I went up a little more and she started to slow down.
I like choppers, but it seems with this boat, the 3 or 4 blade thru hub works good.Boats love hundred dollar bills.

My boat really likes to chine walk whenever it gets the chance too. I have tried a 25p rev4, 25 bravo, 26p small ear chapper, 28x14 cleaver just because i had them available to me. All of these props made the boat feel like i was driving on ice. The trophy plus just runs so nicely that i really have no reason to change
I think i can spin the 26p trophy to 5800 or so b/c i spun the 25 rev4 to rev limiter also, and that is almsot 1 inch bigger in diameter. I am hoping to see 73-74 with the 26 trophy, I almost think i can hit 71-72 with the 24 if the revlimiter wasnt there

Mikeylarge, I remember when I used to own my Velocity ,I found the 26 Trophy to be one of not only one of the best top speed props but one of the best all around handling props, I thought for sure a 26" tempest was going to run faster than the trophy 26 but that was not the case. I found that by knocking out all but one of the plugs helped the boat get on plane faster. I had my trophy blueprinted but made sure not to have the blades thinned. I picked up 3 mph by having the prop tweaked. Good luck,Frank
