All of mine have a "Potato" name. Small Potato, Couch Potato, Sweet Potato. The fast one will be named Hot Potato.

I've named since I was an adult--
Boats I had when I was a a kid never had names--not sure why. But I found myself calling my E Production OPC boat my little toy so often that I finally put it in the "name" blank on an entry form, and since then my boats have always been "Li'l Toy." Got some resistence from my sons to putting a name on this one, but it is small and back on the coaming in the rear, not so much grousing now.

Cool responses guys:
My 20ft yellow invader is in need of a name as I kind of agree with the unamed boat=bad luck thing.
My ideas so far:
'Finnegans Wake' (a bit high flown and perhaps wasted on a lot of people but basically the life and death thing for the boat that I brought back from the dead plus the wake part ties in well with the boat theme. I'm a teacher and a literature kind of guy so it fits on certain levels)
'Yellow Fever' ( possibly a little politically incorrect for a white guy living in Asia with an Asian wife :-) but it is yellow and it does make me feverish with delight when it's all working and truly sick with fever when I have problems!)
'Mellow Yellow' (it's yellow but it ain't actually all that mellow, just like the way it sounds)
I had another couple of good ones that escape my mind right now, they'll come to me when I'm not trying to find 'em up there, like when I'm in the shower or whatever!Living in self imposed exile in the Far East

my boat has yet to get named also, my wife thinks i should name it MY PRIORITY seeing as how much time i spend cleaning it and upgrading things to it. hopefully i can come up with one this summer before i have any more bad luck with the motor.

Good name
I really like that, or maybe some other twist on the 'priority' theme.
Like "False priorities" or for me living out here as a foreigner "minority priority" ha!Living in self imposed exile in the Far East
