Thanks for checking back stokernick....well of all the pictures people have been desperate for me to take for them in Bangkok over the years, 'lollipop sticks' is definitely a new one! LOL It is Saturday night here after all ha!
To be honest a Merc would be a whole lot more practical out here support and parts wise but you know what they say about beggars and choosers! Besides a Johnny 'Rude is the scarce, rare thing out here, hard to imagine an Evinrude as exotic though right? Ahh well when in Rome my man, when in Rome.
I will take some pics of the scenery next trip out and see if I can't snap some home made local boat pics.Living in self imposed exile in the Far East

I don't think Checkmate look in front of the bow light theres a lower spot and behind the light is a low line...all the checkmates I have seen have a round smooth nose and a center ridge...
How long is it???
was the old windshield like that or did it have a swing out to get to the front??
Was there a glove box where the light switches are now???
Does the bottom have a Pad?? Flat in the middle??
a pic of the splash well and bottom may help too???
where is/was the fuel tank and filler??
what year is the engine I would think most of these where put together with like year motors???
just trying to get more info out there....got me stumped...I'm thinking of something but need a little more info before I stick it out there

Ok, erm let's see...
1) 20 feet exactly
2) The two piece windshield and whole walk thru to bow ride area thing seems to have been like that from day one. I just had new ones made to replace a cracked and scratched old pair, the old ones were the templates for the new.
3) There was a hole that I plugged and filled over which eventually was then recut to house the main electronic switchbox/panel..yes. But it was just a hole and I think it had originally housed a late eighties style of depth finder that looked like an old portable TV! It had certainly never been an enclosed space or glovebox type arrangement.
4) see new pic of profile of bottom of hull from rear view, I will post that on anw reply in a few minutes when I find it.
5) 1990 is the Evinrude tag when referenced against the SELOC manual so that's accurate.Living in self imposed exile in the Far East

Yes I know the motor needs to go up but...
...it will give you some more cues re. the bottom profile and shape of the hull.
This sounds ridiculous but I can't actually think exactly what the underside of the hull looks like right in the middle and it is 11pm out here now so going to look and or/take pics ain't happening right now.....will look in the morning though to be sure.Living in self imposed exile in the Far East

Hell yeah...we have the answer.
That is my boat... just two feet shorter but that is it, bang on. Even the era, vintage and fact that the motor on that one(quite possibly the original engine as it is also from that period) is a whitey....must be true.
I had given up but there is no doubt that my boat is an "Invader".
Thanks a million to you Sir and also to all of the guys who chimed to help on this one as I think it wasn't easy but never underestimate the power of the internet and a load of boat nuts!

A bit nasty and cheesy to look at but I just googled the name and length and came up with this. Not my style but this confirms it for good methinks. He is saying that the closed bow is an afterjob but the boat is actually a bowrider. the front navigation light on his is exactly the same as mine. I'm sure now.

it's missing the dimple in front of the light but i think it's the same...as far as the light it's self about 90% of boats have the same one even my Skater.and it can be bought new at Walmart.............
