1986 mariner/ mercury 115 hp tower of the power likers

So I just took this on trade,and it's pretty close to excellent condition.The late 60s old man said it wont idle in gear when he comes up to a dock,to trailer, or try to pull a tube or skier,but after that it runs fantastic.He had a marina go through the carbs last year and helped a lot he says.And now this year it won't idle very well ? The marina now tells him it needs crankcase half seals at 14 hrs labor HAHA well this think runs better than any in line six I ever had and I had many.Took the brand new plugs out he just put in and did the quick socket on crank with a plug in each hole and all have great compression and all 6 have spark,all electrics are like new and no insulator fraying on any wires.Someone painted it black with new decals and basecoat clearcoat paint job.Looks really nice and near mint controls to boot.All I did was richen up the mixture screws and it runs choice. So im offering this to a s&f member at a very good price [ hard to find these in this cond with the integral trim - no pump in boat - at 2000.00 would like you to pick it up but will crate it and ship at your expense,even will come with the ss 18 pitch prop also.
