    Exhaust divider ?

The first Mercury I started building Bridgeport and it had some land and sea heads (dual plug) whoever had it before me fabricated a exhaust divider plate to hold all of the extra coils.... when I sold the heads of course that went with it so I got an exhaust divider plate that is two separate pieces from a local marina ( I cut on it a little bit to get rid of the clamshell cowl brackets ) but all the holes line up and it looks like it's going to work great.....
Now that I've started getting all the parts together and preparing to build a 2.5 ...245hp... I noticed that that divider and plate are all one solid piece.... I know it's taking me forever to get to it but my question is. Is there a difference between the one piece and two piece plates are they interchangeable between the Bridgeport and the 2.5 .... and should I try to find one off of a performance motor for the Bridgeport or does it not really make any difference ??? I'll post a picture of the plate from the 2.5 now and when I get to the shop in the morning I'll post a picture of the two-piece plate that I shaved all the mounts off of ....
As always thank you guys for all your help !!!!
I know I ask a lot of questions but I'm trying to learn all I can and I do my best to research on the internet before I ask stupid stuff lol
