My gear oil is a milky white color. I gather it's water in the gearcase. The water never comes out of suspension after being drained and left to sit in the pan. Where are the likely entry points? I thinking driveshaft, propshaft and shift shaft. Is this something I can do at home. I have a Merc gearcase manual but not 100% sure the bearing carrier has to come out to change that seal? Any required tools or parts I would or should need? I'll follow the manual but any good insight is appreciated. Will it kill the gearcase if I run it and change the oil nightly, I want to make the Suwannee river run next month.
