Well fellers I have been working on my project. 1985 procraft 1750 comp. it has a 4 inch manual jack plate, 1995 evinrude 115, no vro, .30 over and no other mods to motor yet. running the prop shaft 3.75 inches under hull. Turning OMC 3 blade 13x21 at 5100 rpm and I get 44 MPH. I can trim up to 5300 but start to loose water pressure to the top of engine. I had it to 49 mph with the prop shaft about six inches below hull. was thinking of dropping it back down and stepping over to the Turning point 4 blade hustler cleaver 13x19. what say you gurus? later on in the week im going to go back to the river and try the 13.25x 19 OMC prop I have and piddle with the engine heights some more.
I have installed a new water pressure gauge on the motor to make sure its not loosing water pressure. When I was runnig my rest the other day the reason i thought i was loosing water pressure is my alarm went off after about 1/4 mile of being trimmed up. I shut down to idle, went and checked but the engine may have cooled off that quick because it did not feel hot and by the time I dug out the temp gun it was right at 112 on both heads.

Im new to this site and new to the idea of performance mods and the need for speed to the water but not new to engines. Have been lurking on this site for a long time, just decided to make my first post finally.
