MAD EFI - Brucato PCU shoot out?

If i hadnt have found Wayne and his ecu, i was seriously thinking about puting carbs on my motor a while back !! I had nothing but problems out of Merc boxes !! Had a couple of good ones that never seemed to run right and eventualy went bad anyway, along with buying a couple that w erent no good when i got them either !! I have had it to my ears with Merc boxes and will never even consider buying one again !! If i wanted a new Merc box you can bet i would be calling Tony NOT MERC !! Ive even heard story's of people purchasing NEW Merc boxes and they being NO GOOD and guess what the waranty is on them NODDA!! Competition is good, always is !! Personaly i like Waynes SDS system !! I like being able to adjust while under load and also like the adjustability at every 250 rpm's !! For me Waynes is the chit, for somone else Tony's might be ideal !! Its all a matter of what you like folks!! BOTH ecu's "as Tony said" are leaps and bounds past anything Merc has to offer !! So when you compare Tony's price to a new MERC unit, its more than fair !! I will also say this, Waynes system ""to my surprise"" was way more than i thought i would get for $1175!! When i took it out the box i couldnt believe how much more was siting there then you get with a Merc unit for a couple hundred cheaper!! Also with the merc box you have to buy one dem Chopper City nini baby;s for 300 dollars just to see where your at when turning the fuelcurve up or down Add that to the cost of a Merc unit and see whatchu come up with !! Point is, they both better than whatchu got from Merc and can be used for anything from a fishing boat to a race boat for maximum performance !! Why you should buy one or the other is up to you !! I'm sure either ecu can tune your motor and give it what it needs ! I prefer tunability while driving, somone else might care less about that option!! PS i would like to clear somthing up here!! Sombody said earlier in this thread that the MAD unit was desighned to work with the MAD intake well THAT IS NOT TRUE !! The MAD will work with a SVS just like the Brucato pcu will work with a MAD intake !! BOTH ecu's have a wide enough fuel range that they can be tuned to ANY aplication you want to run on Mercury and as for the MAD, it has enough to work on ANY engine, He even has a chip you can plug in the box for 12 injectors You can use the second 6 injectors to run Nitrous enrichment etc etc, !!THATS THE MIRACLE OF IT in the first place !! A programable ecu designed to work on 1 certain intake would kinda defeat the purpose in the first place wouldnt it? Anyways just wanted to clear that up for whoever said it !! cyu TUG
