    besides how they run and the power they make, how do they compare in weight to the 300x?

    weight is the same as the 300x, i'm still lovin mine, you can beat 6 mpg at cruise and 4 mpg at almost wot. my 300x use to get me 2 mpg at cruise.. what a differance..

    How does the XS sound compared to the X? Does it seem as "torquey"?

    I understand the fuel advantages. But how does the power compare to an x motor or even a 300 promax?

    Merc's advert in Powerboat showed a power curve and around 310 HP. I think the 300X was probably a touch higher, but I don't know that. The XS should have more bottom end and mid range as it has an additional 0.3L.

    has anyone run the same setup with a 300x and then a 300xs? what are we looking at here, a loss of 1-2 mph?
