Correction - I didn’t see Sebastian’s Triad at Firewater 2000 - it was “Nickfest” in maybe 2001 or 2002 in Upper Wisconsin.

John Dorn had one too. The graphics on his were all purple though, with matching purple stripes on the cowl as I recall. He and Sebastian ran together a lot.

Those are really pretty boats and from what I understand are easier to drive than my Grandsport. When I had the 225 PromaxSS on mine it would run 95 MPH GPS with 3 adults in it [which made it easier to drive]. With the 300XS I can only run 90 with 4 adults in it. I get much better gas mileage and oil consumption now than I did with the 2.5.

Kenny's and Rick's are both SRV's built by Spaeth, totally different boat. The V-21 is a Triad, same length, more roomy interior. Both are great running hulls

Wow Larry good for you!, You found that here in southern WI? With the 225 PM and the Sporty! Lucky you. Thats a nice find.

Tim Tinus had one that looked like that, I worked a couple Milwaukee shows for Tinus Marine years ago when they had Laser 420, 380's and LTV's, Ebbtide, Formulas, Fountain etc. Fun Times.
They always had some cool Mercury HP stuff. Saw my first CLE gear case there. I drove Tim Tinus's V21 Triad when they first came out. Wally brought one to Jasper about the same time and came with us on the river run.

    Thanks for sharing. Very cool

Doesn't Wally still have the V21 molds? To bad there wasn't some type of apprentice program where some of these younger generation "kids" could learn the trade from the masters the art of making quality boats and properly rigging them to keep the hobby or business from going totally down the drain. Seems there is a demand where a new STV is 2-3 years out. I am thinking probably the biggest obstacle is the cost of the outboard not to mention insurance. Then there is always the issue of getting the younger generation to unplug from their cell phone and pick up a tool.

Yes, just outside of Milwaukee. This boat was originally sold by Tinus. It's been locally owned since new. I originally bought it for my Dad as a lake boat to run around with us, but he wants something a little bigger. Going to look at another boat this week. We will see what happens.

I can relate to your dads needs. The Triad is a great rig. He may have to pick his day to get a nice ride on the chain.

I may have something a little bigger coming soon to address that need also. "Wake boat fear" of large sneaker rollers can be a very unpleasant surprise.
