Never saw gator Saturday, I did have to leave my post for 1.5 to 2 hrs to help a fellow boater with a blown out steering cylinder so I could a missed him

I was looking for your boat and did not see it.
I was in the 16' Whaler with all the wood console and seat stuff. Black Bimini cruising along at 24mph.! Ran 100 miles on Saturday.

lol I actually pointed that boat out to my son and wife because of the wood ! Looked great , my boats out of commission for right now , be back soon

That's a good looking Whaler.

Anybody else decide the Days Inn was too far gone to stay again? My room had black mold on walls and ceiling and all sorts of little insect critters scurrying around. Nasty. It was never what I'd call a nice place but it's beyond my threshold at this point.

Wow .. that really sucks . Next time up I'm going to stop in there and have a word with them for whatever it's worth.....

Yes that was him, we’ve all been there sitting there floating and broke lol , nice guy glad I was able to help him out ,he was coming off plane for a boat wake and I saw the boat make kinda of hard turn which caught my attention and then I could see him working the wheel back and forth and no motor moving so I knew he lost his steering and it wasn’t fixable

Had a blast, thank you Tom!

W/no real schedule, it was a guess which direction to go on the river.

I heard south for Friday and went 15 mls that way and saw no one.

Heard north to a sand bar Saturday and did that and found the 20 or so boats there.
Also confirmed my suspicion that my boat is not a sand bar boat.
Ugh!

As to the Quality Inn, our room was fine as was complex/security.
Their staff was a bit sketchy.
Check in was perfect and pleasant.

We had our dog so no room svc.
Went to front office for fresh towels and coffee for room and had to debate it w/a nasty attendant.
Left w/coffee but no towels.

Next morning was same.
They had to call someone to see if they could give me coffee!

Found out the wife is OK w/going fast, when in calm water.
As the river was!

Did more mls/time at speed w/the boat in 24 hrs than since I bought it!
Learned a lot!

Saw 73 w/tabs still partially down for chop/wakes but boat and motors ran flawlessly!
More to come.

Tom we stayed at the Days Inn also we had mold in our room the toilet didnt look like it had been cleaned in months . My sons room was filthy . My granddaughter got her bath then ran around the room for about 5 min. Her feet were filthy black . Its really too bad . Used to be such a nice place but the staff is just rude and not customer service trained . Wont stop us from coming to the Suwanee !!!!
