    Maybe a ...

Brunswick "cheer-leader" can explain something to me ...

I've bought 3.2L cranks for $1600.00 a few years ago.

    I've bought a 3.2L crank a years ago for $2000.00 .

    I priced a new 3.2L crank a month ago $2400.00

Customer ready to pull the trigger $4919.24 retail / $4409.59 jobber.

    $2000+ dollars more ....... overnight

    Question # :

    1) Were they just giving them away before .. ???

    2) Is this how they get people to trust them .. ???

    3) Wiss-can-senn is a blue state .. are they following the lead of America's new policy of "Blunder Buck Butter" ... ???

    4) Rip-off our customer base, if they don't want to buy overpriced porkchops, we don't want them. Is that how they feel about us ... ???

    5) If we sell them overpriced parts they will buy them to keep from buying one of our new POS motors .. make the new parts prices double from what they were ... yesterday. Is that how they want to treat us .. ???

    6) In the words of Zelensky to Russia .. **** U ....... Mercury

Its simple, go to another brand if they are so bad. I don't complain about things I can't change-- Nothing more, nothing less.

Fuel was 1/2 a few months ago--guess I should have bought a few thousand gallons? Motors are going up almost 9% in June "do I buy a few extra now? NOTHING is getting less expensive, like I have said multiple times, the Biden printer and give away program is to blame for our 40 year record inflation rates and you better be doing something with your money to hedge against it (collectable bikes, sleds, real estate, guns, and silver) are my recent choices and of course PORKCHOPS and a MINI CHOP.

They do what they do, because they CAN. All the big co's do it. Merc. has learned that customers will now pay whatever the asking price is. No complaints on prices, just a bow and a "thank you master" for allowing me to spend money with you.

Been this way...overprice the repair parts till they force you to buy new...20 years ago a 2.5 TPS listed for under 30$,(this a simple volume control from a radio, variable pot),now the list price is!!!762$,over 25 times the original price of 26$I think.

In the technology industry it is embraced and is referred to as "forced obsolescence".

Blame it on Russia. As Chris said they seem to overprice the popular old stuff. Another one is 20" driveshaft $1100.00, 30" $350.00, does not make sense other than money grab on high demand old parts.

Stainless up 50+% in 2021 and already up 20% in 2022.. but mainly, same story when any manufacturer phases out parts from full production and they have much less volume, you start buying 20 pieces instead of 2000 from a supplier and they 10x the price, but I guess Merc is supposed to eat that or put 50 years worth of stock on the shelf?

The driveshaft is (at most) a $100 even in small quantities... they are ****ing you at $350 and brutally sodomizing you at $1100.

Polaris, Skidoo, all the same... make it too expensive to fix the stuff you have so you'll cave and buy something new from the people that are bending you over at the parts counters.

It's pronounced Haaa-vaad... the MBA is silent.

I just ordered every sensor on the porkchops so we have them on the shelf and now we are saving money too--I knew it was a good idea.

I remember a little thing called the Boston tea party. Guess they didn’t like the taxes. When Paul Revere rode the streets people should’ve yelled out their window if you don’t like being under Britain rules go somewhere else. When people have had enough they’ll stop paying the price. Purchase a canoe get some exercise and enjoy natures beauty.
