Glenn has always been the king of set up, He's one of the best off the line, said he's 78 back in Oct.

he put in the water to race and had a linkage issue.

I believe Cliemark is the best rough water Allison driver.

Stadola - You'd have been fast in your Allisons, but you had about 500 pounds worth of fishing gear in them I suppose they were easier to drive tho .... LOL

If Jack Daniels bottles and something to float on counts for fishing gear, then yes, you are correct.

What kind of speeds was that Alli SS (I think) in the brochure getting with that Yammie (I think) 90 horse?

Going deep in the memory banks, but I want to say 72 - the article was in "Trailer Boats" or something like that. I had bought the magazine.

Exactly. This thread was over before it got started.

No one has ever contested Glenn Reynolds top V bottom OB speed of 129 mph. That record was set in 1987 with his Allison.

I have got to put my other 2 cents in, the xb 02 is the ultimate hull i.m.o. others will definitely disagree with me, but here is my reasons, first of you have a completely fiberglass hull, which will never rotten, 2 lightest boat with a working live well that you can buy, but say you don't fish, doubles as a cooler to stuff all the beer in you could drink in a day, and 3, FASTEST v hull period, there's no reason my boat could not reach 120 if I stripped the excess weight, 2 batteries trolling motor, sets seats easily 350 lb and ran the chit out of it with a high pitch prop that will turn 7200, I got 108 at about 6500, hands down, I love you Darrius and Nancy for giving the allison to us, not even talking about the xr lol, anyone got a different opinion? Love the s and f community, can't wait to hear some responses

Not sure aboot fastest, but Andy Driver seemed to send quite a few guys to the trailer with his. I'd say that's the quickest. If I recall correctly, they seemed to dominate lake racer class for a stretch. Great boats.

That’s the story I hear too. Dominant hull in the drags. Not too many talkers who own those hulls though. I’d like to run along side one by happystance one day and see for myself

The fastest larger V bottom is from Tuff. 24'9" of pad V fury from the great Northland. Hull only said to weigh 800lbs, it has clocked 119 mph with DBR 15" 300XS. Without question the fastest 25' pad V anywhere in the world.
