Depends what you want to do with it... it's really a nice running, easy driving, fast boat with the motor bolted right to the transom.

bought the factory race Venus from the 1981 Havasu classic

Well, I thought it was a 12", but after measuring it's actually a 10" Atlas. Should be finished by this weekend. I'll get some pictures posted of it. I appreciate everyone's input. I think I'll like the Smart Craft gauge. Having a GPS speedometer installed also. Everything is going to be in the factory gauge holes. Only thing I'll need is a prop now. I'm thinking either a 26 chopper or cut 28 chopper. Anyone got any recommendations on a prop for the 200XS with a 1.87 Sportmaster? It's a fat shaft so none of my current props will work unfortunately.

I liked my mazco 26 chopper, held the bow high and gave a good holeshot, only problem was rpms were crazy. Ultimately I ended up going the cleaver route at 31.

The best advice I can give is to call the Hydromotive guys. They are the best in the business as far as performance boating is concerned. I've never dealt with a better group of people than Thom or Todd. They'll take care of ya.

Man the week I had it put on the weather decided to screw me lol. Been in the garage waiting. Haven't even had good enough weather to take it out for pictures. This is killing me! Now the river is rising, which means floating debris. Hell, it may be August before I'm able to put it in the water. As soon as I get some sunshine I'll at least pull it out and take some pictures. I'm in the Big Bend area (Perry) and we were square in the path of Elsa. Lots of rain and a few limbs in the yard but I'm not missing any shingles.
