    did you read this?

    "The Blue Gem coal of southeastern Kentucky is widely considered one of the best coal-carbon sources for silicon metal in the world."

    What part of that post says they dont burn coal to make the silicone, it all goes in a furnace.

    This is an interesting read, thanks for sharing! I would still argue Candella's 55 mile range at 25mph is still appealing to some, but it's hard to argue against the fact electric really shines with displacement hulls. And I think you're right regarding new companies and bad hull designs haha. There are some companies that have been out there forever doing electric boats though. Viking is one: https://vikingsolarboats.com/

    They used to be part of Ray Electric Outboards, but now they're their own thing. You can cruise around all day with one of those at 8mph (if I remember) and not need a charge. Sounds like the perfect party-barge to me

    I think that a good back-up plan would be :

    93 non-corn unleaded for $1.00 a gallon

    100 / 110 non-corn unleaded for $1.99 a gallon

    E-99 corn for around .40c a gallon

    Could be easily done. Drop the regulations from the well to the pump handle ... along with the taxes that go along with it ... and before ya know it, could be a primary source of energy ...

    Capt. ------>

    I heard a puppet say tonight ... jobs will be the answer to climate change.

    Yeaaa .. Tax the rich .. so they will move their production out of country. The ones that stay , can fire up their factories and put more people on . Maybe even open another one even bigger across the street .. that should clean up the clean air !
    Where do such idiots come from ...

    There are no jobs going green, many countries have just worked that out, has been some press about it lately.
    Needs to get phased in with population reduction.
