I’ve probably read that the Q4 was aB1 copy a dozen times but I guess not everything you read is true. Thanks for the correction. Personally, I’ve never had luck with either one on either of my boats, but every boat is different.

I was about to buy this one until i received some more pictures. Its a little more chewed up then the original pictures appear.

I am in the same boat as Mike. Same boat and motor. Was thinking about trying a 25p tempest plus. The boat could definently use some bow lift. I am running as 21 mirage plus and its wayyyyy to small

Would a Revolution 4 fit the mold? Rev4 does a lot of things well IMO.

I have the same exact boat/engine package and run a 23 Mirage plus and it runs very well. If you can spin a 25 Mirage plus I’m sure you be running well.
The Mirage Plus is what Concept Boats always ran in their boat while testing.

I’ve found Rev4’s with a shortened tube work well. If you need the stern lift, keep the tube, but if you’d like bow lift, the Rev4’s bigger blades have great lunch and fuel economy. But you gotta have the torque to pull ‘em...
A problem is only a problem when viewed as a problem...

I think I’m going to try a mirage plus 25p. I can spin the 21 to 7k if I wanted. Should I prop to 5800 for that motor?

Yes, I would prop for 5800/6000. Over that you are just over spinning/boiling prop but not moving faster. I have a1998 boat with a 2003 225 down draft motor.

+1 on the Hydromotive. The quad 4 is a good prop, but it's the customer service you get from Thom and Todd that sets them apart. Best people I've ever dealt with in the boating business.

Hull is a 2000 composite 22 concept with a 225 efi merc that is a pretty strong motor. Ought it from. Concorde18 on this site. First time out with bravo1 turned 5800 with three adults and a full tank of gas. Didn’t have gps with me so not too end numbers but would estimate mid 50s. Not looking to set any land speed records . With the 22 bravo, would like a little more bow lift. Can’t see spending 700 for a new prop so would like to find something used. Picking up a lift for it today so I don’t have to trailer it.

a guy on the concept fb group with an older 22, and a 225 running a 25p tempest plus was running just about 60. I think the tempest would be a good top end prop but not sure about all around

I agree i cant buy a new bravo knowing that i pull up to the beach at hemlock and zacks alot

True, the original Quad IV is more of a cleaver design and does not look like the Bravo. It's also been around since at least the early 90's. However, the newer Quad IV-X/OB is very similar to the Bravo.

I have Bravo 1(24p) and Hydromotive quad-4(25p) on my convincor and really can't tell any difference in side by side runs. The B1 may turn 100rpm more but both run same mph.

it looks like when you move to a 25 pitch mirage plus the diameter shrinks to a 14 1/2 rather then the 14 3/4 I’m running now. What do you think the rpm difference would be from a 21 x 14 3/4 to a 25 x 14 1/2?

Every boat and setup will/could run differently. I would try a 23 before jumping into a 25.
You do not want to under rev or over rev the motor. 7000 is too high and 5000 would be too low for max rpm.
I can lend you a 23 if you like to try before buying.
