...in anything really. They are so impressive over the old school stuff. Lookup the old Hot Rod Magazine article from way back in 2011, titled "The Big Bang Theory". They bought a high mileage boneyard 5.3 and did nothing to it, except turbo it. Make sure you read the entire article all the way to the end. Amazing is all you can say.

    The answer?

Put a grand into my 20 yr old, 220k mile, 350 Vortec powered, paid for, runs perfect, truck.

A grand got it new wheels and new leather seat skins.

It doesn't shine in these pixs cuz I took them today and I'm in Ohio where we only see the sun on special occasions.

    Love it!

I never buy a new vehicle.... always 2 - 3 years old, Got my 2008 Suburban 3 years old with 36K on it, paid 20,000 for it. Had to do an AFM delete on it, but has been very reliable otherwise. Has 120K on it now, 3rd set of tires, two batteries and a water pump. Ex-girlfriend wrecked it twice, whole right side replaced................

Got it back yesterday and better than ever! Amazing.

40 yr mechanic guessed parts to be orig!!
    Plugs were toast.
Also replaced coil, which was asking to base, ignition module etc.

Also found a mouse nest in the intake box!

    Yikes.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

I had a car come in the dealer in the early 90's, air intake was packed so full before the air filter it was a no start.

I left thermostat covers of a V-6 looper in Fla, w/cowling installed and cover over that and mud daubers got into and packed water jackets w/mud!

    Had to completely disassemble motor.

Which year is yours? You can get full replacements, customer stitch etc. Gator has a thread on it somewhere.
