    Super Stranglers

Here is a pic of the super modified V-bottom that I ran in 1974 in the Miami Marine Stadium. The boat was a modified Powercraft with a KR-15M Super Strangler. Ran both gearcases, what a gas to drive back in the day, especially for a v bottom.

I still have a running one, with many, many parts... Not for sale. I am looking for V8 OZ parts for my Evinrude from 83/84 (long middle section and carb version)

You know France is not a jungle and powerboat racing was very active in the 70s and 80s. Now as for lots of countries we have so much trouble to organize races due to ecologists and risk adverse of the french administration...

But for Sure make running again these old boats is not cultural; I found a ON hull from 74/75 with a lot of work, and i will the only one owner in France so for demo it is limited : but should be able soon to present 1 OE, 1 ON and 1 OZ

It was asked what rpm the 6400-6800 listed is low, we used to run them 7200 at the 7HR parker enduro and 75-77 sprint racing.
Old post but we forgot to ask what horsepower/rpm of peak torque did you see on the dyno?

It was mentioned top full dress version about 170, most others 150-160. The spec sheet on the triple and KR15 is interesting. The replacement block KR shows a but higher ex at 94-92°. That getting up there considering the pin spacing, anyone have the port to port pairing distances for that kr15? RPM is your friend on this one.
180-185hp propshaft was mentioned..... that's rippin!

Here are some pics on my mod V-4 with Super Strangler parts. It had KR-15 cylinder heads and pistons. Cranking compression was 190 PSI. It was on a 16' Action Marine, spun a 30" cleaver 7200 RPM. Porting and exhaust system by Monty (the early years!) The Monty mods added 14 mph on top end. Radar gun read 92 mph. Like you guys have said, it was the coolest sounding engine I've ever owned.

If l am correct my V4 omc on my Viper was modded
to the Super Strangler specs . I will tell you that it has
a unique howl at 7k rpm. My friends can hear me 2.5
