Thanks

I was thinking along the lines of strake to strake something ...
My boat bud and I are contemplating flipping the hull over for winter. We have work on the other family boats that comes first.
Also want the transom to dry out a bit, or drain. Upside down will let us see if any water was trapped in the cavity, AND it'll allow us to contemplate doing something with the round Vee Bottom
We can mark out a pad layout and see what looks best. One of the advantages of a $150 hull is that you can experiment w/o incurring much loss

With the 8" notch in the back the prop was in cleaner water. the Raker prop, you could run it with almost one blade out of the water, the prop bit. The prop has a lot of bow lift. My boat was also light. I had ripped the floor out, re-enforced the stringers with 1/2" plywood on each side glassed over. I had dropped the floor in front of the front seat down about 2" lower then the main floor. I had done the same for the fuel tank in the back to hold it in place. I us and ed a plastic Tempo 12 gallon tank. If I still had it now, I would have flipped it over and made a pad like a Laser 380 with a very slight V to it. I could drive the boat all day like the picture I posted, drop the trim down a little and it would gain a mph or two.
