It's pretty on the inside - That's what counts. People up here in new England have been known to wait at the boat ramp watching those "REALLY SHINY TRAILERS"... Then they follow those folks home when they get back. I guess you won't be a target with that trailer lol.
Seriously though, who cares. My trailer is ugly as sin.
At least you're getting it wet ! Meanwhile my powerhead is back on the workbench.
Thanks for the Kudos, Keep up the good work, you'll get it. :-)

All done with hand tools, drill press, belt sander, etc. No Laser, no mill, I do have an old 9" southbend lathe.
Your stuff is pretty damn cool, and you get an A+ for effort. ;-)

With all this restoration work, I might be tempted to re-power with a couple of 400's. I am not sure the Skater could handle that much weight on the transom. The 28 Speedster and the M29 seem ok with the weight, but I believe they have about a foot and a half more beam to displace more water. It would sure be fast boat, w/o the overwide beam of the 308 making towing a chore and illegal in CA.

I think the 400's are a bit heavy for a 28. The 300's are running extremely well with some good driving characteristics and balance.....JMHO.

If you are wanting a weapon then 3 280s would be a better solution, or wait for Matt to come out with his 4 liter billet monsters-
