As usual the Jacksonville guys and gals are meeting at the stark Wal-Mart on hwy 301 around 7:30 Saturday morning. That will put us at the fanny boat ramp around 9:30. Any and every one is invited to come trailer down with us.
Almost forgot. Greg is buying everyone breakfast. Helluva guyLast edited by madtunnel; 02-29-2016 at 05:01 PM.

And a spare!
So every year someone manages to run aground on jacks sandbar.....usually followed by someone else going over to see whats going on not noticing the flyig mud and people standing ankle deep.
If you stay to the inside of the corners where its deeper you wont have a problem. The water is deep this trip but still prob some debris on Jacks sandbar.
RastaDR, Charlie, etc this means you LOL13' Biel tunnel AKA "Flight Risk"

The water is high so you probably won't run aground unless you hit the tree ! This rule of thumb works for the two sandbars on the Suwannee between the Gulf and the Santa Fe , going North keep left around Hart Springs , going South stay Right after you pass Yellow Jacket Campground on your right . There is really no other place to run aground that I have seen in years .

For the guys that have never been here before , there are areas where phones don't work , there is basically NO FUEL on the river , bring spare props , tools , lines etc . You could be floating for long periods of time before anyone finds you if you break down (OMC engines apply here ) . Did I mention BRING FUEL with you . It's a long ride each way should you decide to go the distance , check the map and print out a copy or two so if you have to go to another ramp to pick up a boat you will know where it is .
Water is steadily going down , perfect !

ROTFL I see -- pack a spare lower, props, 900lbs of fuel, tools, bait, ropes, wires, fireworks, and a marching band complete with a trombone section. You can't fool me, y'all just trying to slow my boat down...

That's one thing I will say about this group of boaters .... Every time we hav went out had a problem hell even when u just stop and let the motor cool ten people will stop and make sure u are ok .... But yes logs rocks I say just try and stay in the middle and don't get close to edge if not familiar with river ... But every time it rises stuff gets moved around ... But once u get familiar with the river it's the best .... But 3522351334 is my # if ya break down and no one is around ...call me will send a team of rednecks on a search .... Just don't ask me for directions
I'm terrible with directions .....

Couple questions Mr. Foley:
Is Dekes Steak house open?
With the water up how is it going up the Sante Fe? I know there wont be much parking at the split with the water up so I want to go up the Sate Fe but Ive never been.13' Biel tunnel AKA "Flight Risk"
