Crankcase sealing
Couple of questions 1, what to use for sealing crankcase halves? 2, high temp RTV or gasket for exhaust plate to tuner? 3.0 merc. Thanks

dont use rtv gasket crap on the block halfs,its too thick.use a Anaerobic sealer like gel-seal.

Porsche or VW Indy shops will have the anaerobic sealer locally if you can't find any at a regular parts house.

I like sealers that keep the mating surfaces from fretting . Hondabond or Yamabond #3 is available at bike shops in Anytown USA

Yamabond here. Have used Permatex anaerobic in the past and it worked fine.
