Seems to me a fellow by the name of Fred Cotey had alot to do with design - I met Fred later when he was at Premier Mrine - had some photos of H'stream boats on the wall. Dick Kjoteen (sp?) was Howard's right hand man.

...Richard (Dick) Kojetin? Yeah, I guess you could say he was involved a little. He was a friend & employee of Howard's at Hydrostream. He was also involved with Howards first boat model, the Hustler WildCat 16, prior to HydroStream. But Howard did the majority of the design work...

Thats Howard standing in front of the very last HSP Virage taken from original molds last year or the year before. Ron Pratt now owns that boat and its going to be killer.....like everything else the man touches.

I met Dick and Howard in 2013 in Winona, MN and had a blast with both of them. I believe we had 27 or 28 Hydrostreams at that event. I rememebr asking him if he ever thought he'd see so many boats being restored and hot rodded so many years later...his response, " Well sure, I always thought we'd still be building boats!".
